Dj Hektik

“The Most Phenomenal Dj In The Galaxy”.

Although the New Orleans Native began honing his craft while in High school making mixtapes for classmates, it wasn’t until 2002 that his hard work and dedication landed him a residency with the House of Blues in New Orleans which gained him access to work with popular acts such as “L.L. Cool J”, “Common”, “Snoop Dogg,” “Robin Thicke”, “Doug E. Fresh,” “Black Eyed Peas”,“Pharrell,” and many more.

The following year he began touring across the nation with multiplatinum artist B.G. Which then led him to producing one of his highly rated mixtapes “Built to Last”.

Particularly, to his merit DJ Hektik prides himself as co-founder and (only) Music Ambassador of the New Orleans Society of Dance (NOSD); a community centered, cultural-dance organization. DJ Hektik’s central role of resurrecting, & cultivating the company’s signature “Babydoll Ladies” dance-act and once dormant 102-year-old doll masking, tradition (c.1912) was prominently on exhibit in the Presbytere, LA. State Museum, (January 2013 thru 2014). In November of 2014, DJ Hektik was featured (performing) with the Babydoll Ladies in the MACYS Thanksgiving Day Parade ® on NBC at NYC Herald Square.

Hektik has also shared his talent as a mixshow Dj through out the south on stations such as V103.3 (Atlanta) to BDAY 95.1 (Jack Miss) WQUE Q93 (N.O.), KNOU Hot 104.5 (N.O.) WYLD Fm 98 (N.O) and recently on SiriusXM Hip Hop Nation Ch 44 with Dj Scream.

Currently Hektik is working with other New Orleans Natives such as Hot Boy Turk, Dee-1, Young Roddy along with a host of others, providing his Dj services, and has many mixtape series that he drops monthly to use as an outlet for breaking in the new sounds coming from artist out of the 504.
