Dj Hektik 

“The Most Phenomenal Dj In The Galaxy”.

Although the New Orleans Native began in High School honing his craft creating mixtapes for classmates, it wasn’t until 2002 that his skills and dedication landed him a residency at the House of Blues. Within this venue he worked alongside popular acts such as “L.L. Cool J”, “Common”, “Snoop Dogg,” “Robin Thicke”, “Doug E. Fresh”, “Pharrell,” and many more rocking the crowd at concerts and premier events. 

While spinning records on the air at KNOU Hot 104.5 in 03′ he got a call to become the road Dj for former Cash Money Recording artist B.G. Hek seized the opportunity and toured across the country with the Multiplatinum artist performing classics and breaking in new hits. To his merit as the in house Dj for Chopper City Records, he would go on to produce some of  B.G.s highly rated underground mixtapes. Titles Such as Built to Last, Live From Chopper City, Chopper City Radio, HollyHood plus a gang of other Street Favorites. 

Despite the tragic loss of his Father and being displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005,  Hektik remained resilient by co-founding (NOSD) New Orleans Society of Dance and became Music Ambassador of the community centered, cultural-dance organization. He co-created “New Orleans Resurrection” a platform for resurrecting, & cultivating the company’s signature “Babydoll Ladies” a dance-act tradition, and produced all the recordings for the company. The successful movement garnered  him an appearance on HBO with Spike Lee’s “When The Levees Broke”, he also featured on NBC inside the MACYS Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, and was prominently on exhibit in the Presbytere, LA. State Museum, (January 2013 thru 2014).  

In addition to sharing his talent with the world, Hek continues to rock mixshows throughout the south on radio stations such and was featured on V103.3 (Atlanta), WQUE Q93 (N.O.),  satellite SiriusXM Hip Hop Nation Ch 44 to name a few. He prides himself as being a mixtape guru, Hosting hundreds of tapes from artist Hot Boy Turk, August Alsina, Dee-1, Lil Soulja Slim and more. The Industrious Dj also manages over 8 different Series, displaying the hottest underground music with over millions of plays on major mixtape & stream sites everywhere.
